Overview
Move This World is a mission-driven company and a national leader in social-emotional learning for schools. They support students, educators, and families with digital tools that foster mental wellness and emotional literacy.
Their existing website had strong content but lacked cohesion. The goal was to slowly redesign the site in sections, modernizing the layout, refining the content structure, and elevating the visual language to reflect the impact of their work.
When I began working with EventsPass, their online presence didn’t reflect their innovation. Their outdated website, hosted by a legacy partner in Australia, struggled to support their evolving brand and operational needs. The key objective was to bring the website in-house, improve its functionality, and create a visually compelling, user-friendly experience that showcased the brand’s value and expertise.

Research
To kick off the project, I conducted a competitive analysis of other top-performing brands in the SEL and EdTech space. I also researched photography directions, exploring how we could better align the site’s visual style with its uplifting mission. From there, I presented three refined directions to the team, and we collaboratively chose the one that felt right.
Design Choices
Color Palette: Move This World already had a playful, well-rounded color palette—but it was underutilized. I expanded on their existing colors, introducing a system that tied certain shades to specific audiences: green for schools, yellow for adult learning, and blue for wellness. This added meaning, structure, and a deeper visual rhythm across the site.
Typography: We leaned into the brand’s established typefaces, using them more consistently to improve hierarchy and readability.
Layout & User Experience: One of the biggest challenges was inconsistency—pages had different styles, making the user journey feel disjointed. I worked to create visual continuity, clear page structure, and simplified navigation. Since mobile had been previously overlooked, every new page was built with responsive layouts and supported by custom CSS to ensure accessibility on all devices.
Collaboration & Execution
This project is ongoing, and collaboration has been key. I work closely with Move This World’s fractional CMO and internal project manager, staying in regular contact to roll out updates, content, and new designs each month. Our shared goal is to bring every corner of the website up to the same level of polish, one phase at a time.
